HELLO & WELCOME!

My name is Robyn Bailey, and I am the owner and CEO of Mainly Baskets Home. My husband, Charles Bailey, and I are incredibly grateful to own such a special company. Mainly Baskets Home was originally founded in 1977 by Thomas Hayes, Interior Designer & Antique Dealer, who saw the opportunity to design and import handmade, unique home accessories and baskets (thus, the name) for the local design trade in Atlanta, GA.

My Husband and I acquired MBH in 2006 but did not personally run it until I stepped in late 2016.

The two most important things to me in our company are to be kind and grateful. It is so important to me that we all have the same mindset and treat each other with the same respect as we do our loved ones. I believe how we operate as a company is reflected in the essence of our designs and our service.

All our designs, both in-house and in collaboration with designers, can be defined as classic and timeless. We glean inspiration from all the wonderful interior designers we work with, along with a study of historic and current interior design styles. We look to antique and vintage wicker pieces for inspiration at MBH. This leads to many of our items being antique replicas. We love to take classic and beautiful pieces and put our own twist on them, truly making them a Mainly Baskets Home Classic.

We dedicate ourselves to designs made of rattan and the beloved process of weaving called wicker. Every single item is made by hand by incredibly talented artisans from overseas - one piece at a time. Our factory overseas is a female owned and operated.

Wicker and rattan furniture has an incredible history and has been found by archeologists in nearly every early civilization from ancient Egypt to North America to Southeast Asia and everywhere in between. During Medieval times when Marco Polo traveled the Silk Road to Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, ships gathered goods, including wicker and rattan pieces, to trade globally. Wicker and rattan basket-making is an ancient art form that dates back thousands of years in Southeast Asia, where we still proudly

source from today. It truly is an art form that we are obviously obsessed with, and we hope you are too!

At Mainly Baskets Home we cater to the interior design world, but we also work directly with customers who may not work with a designer (let us know if you would like suggestions of designers in your area – we would be happy to share talent in your area!). We primarily sell our products online as we do not have a retail store. Any designers who are in the trade please visit one of our two showrooms either at Atlanta or High Point.

The highly acclaimed interior designers who use our designs in their projects are often featured in both national and regional magazines. Many times, you can find us in the likes of Architectural Digest, Veranda, Southern Living, and Traditional Home along with many others. Check out our As Seen In page for inspiration.

I hope you enjoy perusing the website and please don’t hesitate to use the chat box for customer service or send an email with any questions to [email protected]

We are incredibly grateful you are here and hope to be a part of your design project, whether it be your home, your client’s home, or a commercial project. We truly appreciate you!
