Sofa/Daybed: 4-4.5 yards
Settee: 2 yards
Chair or Rocker: 1.5 yard
Chaise: 3-4 yards
Large Hall Bench: 2- 3 yards
Ottoman: 2 yards
Foot Stool: 1.5
Dog Bed: 1.5 yards
Sectional: 8 yards
Sofa with Back Cushions: 8.5-11 yards
Chaise with Back Cushion: 7-9 yards
Note: When planning fabric, allow extra if you’re adding details. With cording you’ll need additional fabric to cut bias strips, about ½ yard per large cushion (sofa seat/back) or ¼ yard per smaller cushion (chair/ottoman). With tufting, cushions pull in extra depth budget 10–15% more fabric, or up to 20% for deep diamond/biscuit tufting.
