Memoire Memoire Design™ formerly known as Mainly Baskets Home was founded in 1977 by visionary interior designer and antique dealer Thomas Hayes. From the beginning, the company was rooted in a passion for handcrafted design, importing distinctive woven accessories and baskets for the discerning design community in Atlanta, Georgia. What began as a focused offering quickly earned a reputation for quality, artistry, and timeless appeal.
In 2006, the company was acquired by Robyn Bailey and her husband Charles. By late 2016, Robyn assumed leadership of the business and ushered in a period of thoughtful growth and transformation.
Building upon the brand’s heritage of craftsmanship, she expanded the collection through collaborations with celebrated interior designers, creating exclusive furnishings that blend traditional techniques with fresh, modern perspectives. These partnerships bring inspired, one-of-a-kind pieces to life, elevating spaces through design that feels both enduring and relevant.
A New Era
In April 2025, after more than four decades as Mainly Baskets Home, the brand entered a new chapter under a new name, Memoire Design™. Long trusted by designers and retailers for heirloom quality handcrafted furnishings, this evolution reflects how the company has grown beyond baskets, taking root as a full collection of timeless, customizable furniture and accessories.
Every piece is designed to inspire, built to endure, and crafted with the same care, precision, and artistry our clients have come to expect.
“Our evolution to Memoire Design™ marks an exciting new chapter, one that honors our legacy while embracing a broader vision for the future.”
In Fall 2025, Robyn’s daughter Lauren Mull joined the company, continuing the family legacy and supporting the growth and stewardship of the brand for the next generation.
Central to Memoire Design™ is a deep dedication to the artistry of rattan and the intricate weaving process known as wicker. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans overseas, reflecting generations of expertise and a shared reverence for the craft.
Our journey has always been guided by kindness, gratitude, and respect for the people and processes behind every product. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share our love of woven furnishings, whether enhancing your home, your client’s space, or a commercial project. It is an honor to be part of your design story.
